Can taking a drug like Zoloft make you hear voices in your head?
I have been taking Zoloft for over a year now at about 25 mg and then 50 mg and then my dose was increased to 100 mgs now. Since then when I lay down to go to sleep at night sometimes when I'm about to fall asleep I'll hear a voice in my head. It only happened a few times but this morning it was if you can believe George Bush yelling the words "White House". It definately was in my head though the voice. I don't know if it was a dream or what but I have never experienced that before. Then I also wear ear plugs to bed and have a air purifier on which is pretty loud. I keep hearing music like a womans voice singing very lightly and this is when I am wide awake and have ear plugs in. Not sure if this is in my head or what. I know when I turn the air purifier off the music goes away. Maybe the Zoloft is distorting the sound in my head and making me hear this music.
Maybe with the voices I have been hearing in my head it's just the Zoloft giving me strange dreams but I can hear it and will be right on the edge of sleep.
