| Re: Schizoaffective disorder
I have schizoaffective too. The way I understand it is, it's similar to bipolar because there are mood swings, but what's different is bipolar has psychosis only related to mood swings while in schizoaffective, there is psychosis in between or unrelated to mood swings as well. So, in other words, a bipolar person would only be psychotic while having a mood swing, while a schizoaffective person might be psychotic even without a mood swing but also has mood swings. I have mood swings and psychosis both, sometimes at the same time and sometimes at different times. Sorry to hear you have schizoaffective too. It's a lot of suffering, isn't it.
