Fish oil, have you tried it, and does it help you?

I read in an aerticle that it is being tested on schizophrenics, and it helps 8 out of 10 of the patients.

Re: Fish oil, have you tried it, and does it help you?

I heard this too. I'm going to get some as soon as I get to the store. I was told cod liver oil is good, but the capsules of fish oil should work. I wonder if anyone knows the difference?

I'm facing aging and it's so important to me that I keep my mind sharp. This to me is the difference between staying home and a nursing facillity.

Thanks for your post. It affirms what someone told me!

I've been taking fish oil for a few months and I feel it's helping me. I plan to continue.

I just started taking it yesterday. Does it help with delusions, that you can tell? Here's hoping -- My geodon isn't 100% for me. Thanks!

Zyprexa works good for my delusions so I don't know if fish oil is helping in addition, I still have some low grade paranoia. But I feel since the fish oil more contentment in my mind and overall that I'm better. It's not that things are perfect, just better.

Thank you for all the information. I have a real problem with paranoia too. Maybe the peace of mind will off set the discomfort some.
