Akathisia cure?

I am on 20 mg of celexa and 10 mg of abilify(just changed recently from risperidone) and I am experiencing some rocking/pacing back and forth. My psych seems to think its not a big deal and will address it once I've been on the meds for a longer period of time. I am so restless, I can't sit still in one place for a long time. Walks seem to be the only cure but it is so cold outside right now and nothing else seems to work, I've tried some lorazapem but that dont work either. Does anyone have some suggestions?

Re: Akathisia cure?

I know its been a few mths since you posted this but wanted to check in on you and see how you are doing. My sister had akathisia when she was on abilify/prozac. It was horrible!! There is a med called artane or congentin that people take "with" their med for the akathisia. Sis is on lexapro and started lamictal today and I be damned if she didn't start figiting. I so hope this does not get worse. I really would like to do a small dose of abilify again but scared too also. It worked so well for her. ( I am her guardian)
