| More than Schizophrenia?
My spouse was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia 7 months ago. She was discharged after 2 months in a mental home. Last month she was back to the clinic for failing to continue with medication regime.
just before she got admitted she exhibited albeit strange behavior. She threatened to deal with her 1-year old baby, promising her a mental admission as well. She especially has been doing a lot to undermine the marriage claiming she was better outside (no case of infidelity though). On one occasion i asked her to leave the home for the better places outside the home. she begged profusely to be allowed in the home; calling who ever was on her contact to intervene.
So why would she do everything to destroy the home that she was not ready to leave? is this behavior related to another illness? Please advice me also approach and what to do. She is still in the clinic.
