I would be focusing on the future. An attack is inevitable so learning how to deal with it effectively would be my priority.

hello synapse321. i still get akathisia once a week. but i was able to attend university.

i get it 3-4 times a week.

It has got better I would say by about 5-10% but it is still there.

Has the invega completely got out of your system now?

I get mild ones in between severe ones in span of 2 weeks.

I have a theory that this akathesia is caused by supersensitivty of the dopamine d2 receptors in the brain which is made worse by d2 antagonists such as risperidal.

I am coming of risperidal and await the results..

I've been feeling quite relaxed past two days. Fingers crossed.

synapse321, personally I don't want adderall because of risk of psychosis sometimes caused by adderall. Good luck and I hope best for you.

No, I don't prescribe adderall myself.

Recently I feel calmer than before. Still fingers crossed. Good luck!

Still monitoring and being cautious - 3 weeks since last attack.

My guess is your akathisia is med induced.
