 Medication good for arthritis?
Hi all, just joined today, so if anyone else has asked this in the past I apologise, but I have a question regarding medication. I have a moderate scoliosis that can't be treated and the bottom 5 discs (that we know about) have now worn completely away. I also have severe wear and tear through my whole spine. The tablets I'm already on are no longer working as well as they used to (but I've been on them for about 5+ years so it may just be that I'm now used to them) - I would say they take the pain level to 4/5 from 8+ so at least I can move more than I would without them!
I have remediene (paracetamol/codeine 500/35) which I rarely take now, was 8 in 24 hours, dihydrocodeine 40mg up to 8 in 24 hours and oxycodene hydrochloride 5mg up to 6 in 24 hours. About 2 hours ago I took 1x oxycodeine and 1 x dihydrocodeine and have felt no inprovement at all yet.
I was on naproxen but have had to stop due to bleeding in the stomach and have been told to avoid all nsaid's.
Can anyone suggest/recommend any good medications that have worked for them please?
Sorry I've gone on so long, but couldn't think of any other way to put this being a newbie!
