I was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 17. I have suffered through chronic pain for the past 8 years now and just recently i was able to see a back doctor and a pain doctor. However i am on medication now but i am worried that i might become addicted, but i am not too worried about that because dealing with chronic pain is so awful. I have experienced a few days of where i couldn't move at all because of something that i did during that day. Also dealing with pinched nerves every so often, that just gets to me.
The question that i have is i have to see a pain management doctor and i am already prescribe 10-325 norco. I know i will need something stronger on the days that i need it because there have been some days to where i just laid down all day because the pain was awful.
I was looking online for something and i am wondering does anyone here take percocet 7.5-325, or 10-325 mg, or anything stronger than that or Oxycontin 10 mg?
Hi there, I have scoliosis and had a herrington rod and fusion years ago and for me Tramadol works better than Lortab for the muscular pain from scoliosis. Try to remember to stay on the the milder pain meds for as long as possible. One day you may need the stronger meds and it may not be as effective if you start taking it now at such a young age. Also, try other things such as massages, water therapy, mild exercise. Best wishes to you.
I am on the hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10/325 but have severe breakthrough pain once it wears off. My Dr prescribed extended release morphine for the time in between the norco (hydrocodone/acetaminophen). Unfortunately, I am still in pain despite all that. I told him that I can hardly feel a difference from when I was only on the norco and he said there is no way that is possible. But I am being very honest. The pain with scoliosis SUCKS. I was diagnosed at 8 and am now 27...I don't even want to think about how it will feel when I really start to get old and our bones get even weaker. =/
