Re: Is it Hashimoto's?

Yep. Hashi's. The antibodies are present. Did your doc put you on medication? Are you having any symptoms?

Re: Hashimoto's Suppression Therapy

My hashi's is suppressed with 1 grain of Naturethroid. The trick is to start out slow and with a small dose. Increase slowly over time and you will start to feel better. Going gluten free and taking...

Re: Headaches & Thyroid

I was ill for over a year and went undiagnosed. Idiot doctor kept telling me I was fine and my Tsh was over 4.6! Was in the ER over ten times with constant dizzyness, nausea, anxiety, heart flutters...

Re: New Labs - Feel Like Giving Up

Your T3 is still in the basement. A small increase would help. Maybe to 50.

Re: Weird thyroid numbers

Smells like Hashi's to me. Hashi's in the begining stages can swing from hyper to hypo and it sucks if your having symptoms. I went a year on this roller coaster ride before things started to mellow...

Re: TSH Normal but having symptoms

IF by chance you have the antibodies for hashi's, you could experience BOTH hypo and hyper symptoms. I have hashi's and while your antibodies are attacking your thyroid, you go through a hyper phase...

Re: TSH Normal but having symptoms

You need more than just a TSH test. Sounds to me like you have what soooo many of us have or had a one time: A TSH obsessed doctor.
In addition to a TSH, you need a Free T3, Free T4 and antibody...

Re: When is the best time of day to take Blood Tests?

Yes - First thing in the morning before you take your meds and try to fast. I just had mine done this morning and what a difference. The last time I had them drawn was in the morning, but I had eaten...

Re: Hashimoto's, Grave's, Hashitoxicosis, or all of the above?

I was an absolute mess for over a year. Constant really bad heart burn, throwing up all the time, tired, bloated, anxiety, heart palps, thought I was dying. After two idiot doctors and 10 trips (yes,...

Re: Staying At Low Dose Too Long...?

Well I am not a good person to ask, because I increased my dose all on my own. Not advisable, but when the damn doctors don't listen, I had to take my own health in my own hands. Originally, the...

Re: what do very high thyroglobulin antibodys mean 17 year old

Finn is right. Both lab results are low. I know when my were low I felt horrible. I have hashi's too. Most of us feel better with a low TSH and higher Free T's. At least in the 75% range.

Re: Hi, I'm new here and I really could use some help understanding my test results.

He would pray for you?????
Sounds weird to me. Anyway,,,what other thyroid tests did he run? Did he run a Free T3 & T4? Any antibody tests???? And a 5.1 TSH level isn't normal - it's a little high....

Re: Normal. Tsh. Normal t3. And. Low t 4 on nature thyroid 1.5 mg

My TSH is .62, down from 4.64, T4 is .08 (low range) and T3 is 109 (total) lower mid range. I am on Naturethroid too & have hashi's as well.
Even with these numbers I feel pretty good. NT suppresses...

Re: Someone please go over my results - THYROID PROBLEMS

I would NEVER self diagnose and start taking a thyroid med unless you need it!!!! It can cause so many BAD health problems.
Your numbers do not signal a thyroid problem, but you should have your...

Re: Anyone gone directly from 30 mg to 60 mg desiccated thyroid?

Yikes. That's quite a jump. When I "bump" I only do it a small amount at a time. I take Nature Throid which is dessicated and I started at 1/8th of a grain, went to 1/4, then an 1/8 & 1/4 (whatever...

Re: DESPERATE for help! Think I have Hashi's but MD is NOT helping!

Hard to tell as you didn't put in the lab ranges.
I can see that your vitamin D and B12 levels are WAY TOO LOW. You need to start taking these vitamins right away. Post your lab ranges. That will...

Re: New to this, can someone give me insight, please

By all means find another doctor. Try a naturopath. They seem to understand and know how to treat thyroid issues better. My idiot doctor said I was in range too but I felt horrible. Went to a...

Re: Thyroid and emotional problems?

Hi Sierra,
Hashi's is a bummer. I was just diagnosed three weeks ago after feeling like total doo doo for over a year. My TSH was only 3.9 and my antibodies were 439. My Free T3 & T4 were in range,...

Re: High TPO THOUGH normal thyroid

I agree with Finnmaid. Please post your lab ranges as that will help everyone that will want to give you a response. Your TSH is a bit high. Anything over 3.0 is high. My last lab report showed my...

A woman I work with started going through perimenopause at 37, so it's not out of the question that what you are going through could be just that.
Carefull about birth control pills if you decide to...

There are, but there are soooo many that cause bad side effects. Most of the time you have to take either Ativan or Xanax along with the AD for the first couple of weeks before the AD kicks in. I am...

Oh yea. I can totally relate to how you feel. The lost feeling is awful. As soon as I figured out I wasn't crazy, I made the decision to not let this consume my life and just simply told myself that...
