Lightbulb Re: anxiety in the way daily-help please

You've got all the classic anxiety symptoms, all of which are harmless. I've found medication to be the ONLY thing that helps me. I know you said you don't have insurance and so forth, but you can...

Exclamation Re: Can you safely mix two Anti-depressant together?

Not sure. Seems like some have mixed SSRIs and Wellbutrin or something. You'll have to ask your doctor. Too much serotonin will give you serotonin syndrome which isn't good.

Lightbulb Re: BAD Day! ER visit again....

Been taking 100 mgs of Zoloft for years with no problems. Been as high as 150 mgs with no problems. It won't hurt you. Just bump up to the 100 mgs right away. You might get a little stomach upset...

Exclamation Re: Can't do it anymore..

Why? Would you feel guilty if you were diabetic and needed insulin for the rest of your life? How bad is it to take a pill everyday? Takes about 10 seconds.

When panic disorder gets severe the...

Lightbulb Re: Back on the merry go round (wellbutrin?)

The only SSRI I've ever taken is Zoloft. It helps alot but never has knocked out my anxiety completely. My Doc says it never will. My dad took Prozac back in the day and it didn't help him much...

Lightbulb Re: Anxiety sufferer

Talking only gives me brief relief. Next day I'm back to feeling bad again. Exercise is good. Valerian root is good but short lasting. Kava made me feel "drunk" and has been linked to liver...

Red face Re: Mental hospital for anxiety?

Oh, I'm very sorry for your niece and for the ordeal your family is going through. Sounds like your sister has Blue Cross/Blue Shield like me---they only pay 50% for mental health.

I don't...

Cool Re: uncomfortable in my own skin

Sounds like classic anxiety symptoms to me. Like Foxxii says, go see a doctor and get a physical. Chances are 99% that you're fine. They may want to put you on an SSRI and/or a Benzo to calm you...

Exclamation Re: Sky High Cholesterol

I've heard of people with TC levels of 1000 or so. I have high cholesterol (287 is the highest it's ever been) but the statin I take [Lescol XL] has done a terrific job on it (reducing it to 176). ...

Lightbulb Re: Anxiety?

Your Doc said you have high blood pressure at 120 -130, 80 - 90??? My Doc says anything under 140/90 is OK. :dizzy:

Anyhow, it's sounds like anxiety to me. Anxiety can do crazy things. I've...

Re: Scared its not anxiety!

It's probably just anxiety. The SSRIs won't make you stop worrying but it will calm you down to the point that the worries don't bother you as much. Eventually, you may even forget about them.

You have classic anxiety symptoms.

I agree that SSRIs are VERY effective against this condition. I take Zoloft and it works very well for me with very few side effects. Ask your doctor about...

Lightbulb Re: Anxiety and worry screwing up my stomach?

Re: Anxiety and worry screwing up my stomach?

Well, anxiety can definetly tie your stomach up in knots. I had that problem for years. It was just anxiety. Given your history, you could have something else besides anxiety. You should...

Cool Re: physical symptoms of anxiety/stress

The only thing I've found that relieves my anxiety is antidepressants [I take Zoloft]. Nothing else has worked much for me and I've tried EVERYTHING.

First I would recommend a complete physical...

Talking Re: Need some reassurance please!

Chances are it's nothing. If it'll make you feel better get your heart checked out. But I'm sure you're just fine. If Xanax relieves it then take Xanax whenever it comes on.
