My numbers go down too and lower than that, but still on meds. Some doctors will treat it, others say it's not a big deal if your BP goes down.

I would switch to an ACE, when I was on a ARB they had to keep increassing the dosage as well because it wasn't keeping my numbers down. The ACE at a low dose works just fine.

I had that same exact machine. I ended up tossing it in the trash after a year. I actually repalced it and the replacment was just as bad. Now I just by the basic monitors. they seem much better.

Most people will say Omron. I have 2 omrons and a reli on ( walmart brand) and my reli on gives more accurate numbers vs my 2 Omrons. Overall I would say most are pretty good

I don't think all meds have horrible side effects, we all react differently. Lazza's readings are far from borderline and having her avoid meds is probably not a good idea.

Imarealpill, try the lisinopril like your hubby. I was on 10mg and kept my pressure down. I lost 15 pounds and my doctor kept lowering my lisinopril. Now I am off meds and my pressure was 99/68...

My doc said some can cause an increase in pressure. I think the worst side effect would be the weight gain. I took Paxil years ago and gained 15 pounds in 4 months!

Constan tickle in back of throat and coughing all night

I know coughing is the number 1 side effect of lisinopril. My doc said yes the tickle is caused from the lisinopril and my cardio says it's actually reflux!

I have taken Benicar off and on for 4 years, off it now. But the tingly sensation is a side effect. I used to get it in my feet the worst.

I am not sure but I think 10mg of amlodipine is as high as you should go. I know when I was on combo meds with amlodipine it was 2.5, 5 and 10
