I was non weight bearing for 6 weeks (just allowed to walk on Thursday!) but it really depends on your dr as they all seem to do things a little differently, and on how your X-rays look at the 4-6...

Glad to hear things are going well. Swelling in your ankle and foot is normal which is why they say to keep it elevated - you are only 3 weeks out. You will have swelling for up until about a year....

No, no xrays before or after ... you'll go into the first floor waiting room, then put into the lovely inflatable gown and the iv is done. Dr. R (or F) will come by and say hi and the next...

Thanks for starting this. My OATS procedure is scheduled for August 11th and hearing the recovery stories will help with my anxiety until then.
