Many symptoms the same as yours: pain or dull ache; feeling like a foreign object had been shoved up my butt that I couldn't get rid of; avoided sex...

A couple of possibilities to consider -

1. some kind of nerve irritation or damage in the region (I get testicle + lower back pain sometimes due to wrenching my back once);

2. a hernia.
