Re: When does the fatigue go away?

Hi Shelly, I was diagnosed over a year ago and am still tired. I can do more things these days, but I'm still tired and weak. I'm sure it varies by person though... hang in there.

Re: 17 yo with "unusual antibody profile".

I don't know how to read the results, but the doctor said recent infection. I don't think it matters if it is inactive. I was diagnosed with mono over a year ago and I am still dealing with fatigue...

Re: Mono, or something else? Depression and fatigue.

I think you should go to a doctor, but that being said, it could still be the mono. I was diagnosed a year ago and I still have fatigue and muscle weakness. That seems fairly common -- and I have...

I don't know whether or not it's normal. If your doctor doesn't have an answer, maybe you should get a second opinion? Just to give you some peace of mind. Let me know what you decide and how...

Re: Glandular Fever (mono) and anxiety.

That's so interesting. I was diagnosed with mono almost a year ago. The past few weeks I have been having severe anxiety. Not sure what the cause is but your post sure makes me wonder!

Re: Mono??? Please tell me what you think!

It sounds like mono to me. The only real cure is rest, and it can really drag on depending on your immune system.

Are you getting enough rest? Your doctor can test you again to see what the...

Re: Does wheat make you immediately tired?

Hi Kat,

That is one of my symptoms. If I ingest gluten, I get extreme fatigue and then muscle weakness. Within 4 hours I'm pretty much passed out in bed.

There are so many different symptoms...

Re: Recurring mono?

It could still be the mono. Either it never went away, or it came back. Once you have had mono, it is possible to get it again. It's a myth when people say once you get it you're immune.

It's...

Re: Can anyone relate?

Good luck. FYI, when I became Celiac, I also developed an intolerance to soy. Soy is in a lot of foods. Something to be aware of if you still get nauseous after eating something gluten free.

Re: new to gluten-free, new to life

Re: PLEASE HELP!!! burning sensation in throat MONTHS after MONO

I'm not an expert, but I would have to guess you are not going to heal as long as you keep smoking. Just stop until you get well.

Re: PLEASE HELP!!! burning sensation in throat MONTHS after MONO

I think you need to stop smoking until you are healed. I imagine every time you smoke you are just setting back your healing so it's just going to take longer to get well.

Re: GI doc says I don't have Celiac

You can't always see damage to the intestine through a scope -- that's why they take multiple biopsies to examine under the microscope. Did he take any biopsies?
