I too was anemic and needed surgery. I had to wait until my blood levels were higher and I still needed blood. I now try to eat iron enriched foods and of course more meat which I don't like.

The gerentologist thought she would give Exelon a try even tho they feel it to be NPH. We are waiting to get on the surgery schedule. Hopefully all will be done within 8 weeks.
