Bite splints can be higher on one side to artificially level out the cant. Also they can be 'indexed', made with cusps and grooves so you will be closing into a fixed position to centre the way your...

Re: Temporal pain

The temporalis muscle is one of the major jaw muscles so if one of them is sore it's a clear indication that the bite is off. The bite needs to work in a balance so both sides are evenly loaded.

Re: Can TMJ cause burning, dry mouth?

Are you mouth breathing? This can cause the saliva to dry out and leave you with a dry mouth.
Mouth breathing is associated with malocclusion (bad bite) which is in turn a trigger for TMJ issues

Re: Jaw hangs lower on one side/ is slanted

Its a structural problem stemming from the fact that your upper jaw is also slanting. The upper jaw is like a template which the lower has to adapt to in order to close into.
