Re: I'm so scared about my hysterectomy

I am sorry to hear you will be having this surgery and are not comfortable with the decision. I have been there and wish I had done things very differently including listening to my intuition.

Re: Endometrial Ablation - your experiences?

I personally think it is a good idea to research treatment options and find it concerning when doctors tell patients to stay off the internet. I know I was not given nearly adequate information about...

Re: Can messed-up hormones cause severe panic during ovulation?

If your tube and/or ovary was removed, this may explain the feelings of panic since that can disrupt hormone production temporarily or permanently. Even if the surgeon removed only the cyst, your...

Re: What is wrong with me?

It can be difficult to pinpoint the cause of pelvic pain but the "extreme bloating, and every time I eat I literally feel like my stomach might explode" sounds more stomach or bowel related. Your...

Re: Who has had an appendectomy and has gastric/bowel issues?

I am curious to hear the professor's response.

My surgery was in 2006 and my bowel is also more of a problem than my bladder. I do have occasional pelvic pain which I think is due to my bowel not...

I had also read about the appendix being important for immune function although I don't recall specifics about digestive functions. However, pelvic surgery can cause problems with digestion and can...

Yes, I have heard prolapse surgery is complex with a difficult recovery and risk for future prolapse. Nerve damage is a risk with any pelvic surgery and can be debilitating. I did not sustain nerve...

Re: Got a doozy this time.

You would need to get a prescription for Vagifem (which are vaginal tablets). You would use them instead of the Estrace cream.

Imaging will sometimes show a physical obstruction. Since you have gastroparesis, I wonder if this is related and is more of a nerve and muscle problem. I am not aware of any test to check for this...
