Post a little lost...

well ive been cutting for about two years now. i stopped for a couple of months in the begining, i dont think i was that bad at first. but then about six months later i started having signs of developing an eating disorder. now that my eating disorder is well full blown, i have found myself cutting more and more and at one point i should have gotten stitches for one of them... i have semi seeked help for my eating disorder but they do not know yet about cutting. i currently am seeing a therapist for a date rape but she does not know about the eating issues or the cutting. the only problem is... im 5 months shy of being 18- which means if i tell her anything about hurting myself my parents will find out. i guess my question is is cutting something that necesisarly needs attention and needs help- in my view- cuts heal and fade and its a memory of your pain. just because i may not deal with things the way 'normal' people do- does that mean im wrong? i dont know maybe im making no sense at all......
thanks, nicole
