Wink Performance anxiety

Hi all..what a great board.
Im a 33 year old guy who is extreamely fit and regularly takes part in triathalons. I recently started having probs with maintaining my erection. It was not uncommon for me to be seeing 3 different girls at a time and ive never had a prob untill one night after about 30 mins of foreplay we had a rest, after the rest i found i couldnt get a erection again no matter what we tried. My partner wasnt worried but it was a big blow to me as it was the first time it has happened.
Needless to say next time we were together it happened again as i was stressing about it happening and it did.
I ended up seeing my local doc who said it was performance anxiety and it will eventually go away when i stop worrying about it, meanwhile he prescribed viagra for me..50 mg tablets. I havent used one yet and was wondering would i only need to use 25 mg by halving my tablet and will this help my performance anxiety. Has anyone else had this happen to them. Ive had a full medical and my doc said i was in the top 10% for my age group in the fitness stakes so its definately all in my mind..does this normally go away once you stop stressing about it.
Thanks in advance for any replies..

First I hope your using condoms.
That said..there are several reasons why ED develops.
Blood circulation problems (Viagra will help with this if sexual desire is still present)
PA this is what your doc said (Viagra will help with this if sexual desire is still present)
Damage or disease of the prostrate and associated nerves (Viagra will help in some cases if sexual desire is still present)
Stress (Viagra will help if sexual desire is still present)
Smoking (Viagra will help if sexual desire is still present)
It is best not to attempt intercourse if you are stressed, tired, had more than 2 drinks or distracted by some situation or event.
There are other situations that are helped with Viagra. Be aware that Viagra lowers your blood pressure. So if you have low blood pressure to start with there is the possiblity that Viagra will make you pass out. Viagra should not be taken if you have any illness or are taking any heart or blood pressure meds without consulting with your doctor first. Taking a tablet and cutting into quarters and taking 25mg at a time is enough for most men that do not have severe ED. This is usually good or effective for at least 2 hours. If you desire quicker effects you can disolve the quarter under your tongue. Some men have reported that after taking Viagra for several months that it takes them longer to have an orgasm. It is worth repeating- Viagra will not assist you if you do not have sexual desire or conditions are such that they out weight that desire.

Thumbs up

Thanks Tricky for your reply.
Yes i always use condoms mad if you dont now days.
I saw one of the girls last night and we had sex without any probs. I didnt need to use any of the viagra ive got. I was a bit anxious about losing my erection when we started and i did half way through having sex so i decided to just please her orally. While doing so i noticed my erection had returned and seeing she was well satisfied i resumed penetration and had no problems at all, lasted a while and had a satisfying orgasm.
So hopefully im over my performance anxiety and i havent even used any of my viagra yet.
Though it will be handy to hold onto incase i do get any performance anxiety in the future with any new partners.
Thanks again for your reply..

Good for you. Concerning storage of the Viagra (or any medication) Keep in a cool place. Keep in airtight container. The frig is ok, NOT the freezer.

Man, Ive had the same problem as you!
I also do triathlons,am 31, about 7% body fat, and was amazed when I couldnt get an erection. I thought, well maybe its the bike, so i havent been riding as much. The problem has persisted off and on for about one month. I know its psychological because i have morning erections and have even masterbated with good erection present. I have also had sex without using viagra but its always in the back of my mind that it might not work. With viagra I stay hard for multiple orgasms and its VERY hard.
Firmness, or lack of it was something that i noticed back during the season, but didnt think much about it. I still think that the bike seat might have had something to do with my problem. I think im just going to run marathons this year and stay off the bike.
