I'm married, 48, & fit, and in a rut. (Saturday nights only, very pre-planned. I'm reluctant to take a pill during the day because of the "red-eyes,head-congestion, and tendancy to "erect" which we be noticed in public, since the effects last many hours. (100mg tabs)Any ideas would be appreciated.

This is a really hard question, mainly because everyone reacts differently and depends on if you need V for a physical or phycological reason. From what you said, it appears it is probably the latter and if so, I would be suprised if you need 100mg!
Try splitting the pill in 4 (even 8 works with many people). Take it around 6pm and the effects can hang around nicely for quiet a few hours (I found even to the next morning) As you would know, V does nothing without arousal, so normal activities should not cause any embaresment.

Why are doing 100 mg at a shot?

100 mg was what the Doctor prescribed. I'm seeing now that it's prbably substantially more than necessary, and a lower dose might work equally well, without those bothersome side-effects.
