Post Has anyone used Caverject? Muse?

Hi!
I am wondering if any of you out there have used either Caverject or Muse? My insurance won't cover Viagra for me unless both of these do not work AND I have erectile dysfunction for over six months AND a doctor prescribes it AND the insurance company approves after reviewing my case. Neither the Caverject or the Muse sound very pleasant. I have the choice of injection myself in my penis (Caverject) or inserting a urethral suppository into my urethra (Muse). Do they just sound much more horrible than they really are? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thumbs down

I tried Muse and it was TORTURE! My entire groin area hurt for 12 hours and I never did get erect. All it succeeded in doing was making me feel better abut paying for Viagra.

Hi there,
I have used Caverject the past few months and like most men, I cringed when I was told about a needle. But the reality is is that the needle is tiny (27 ga. I believe) and in the 6 or so times I've done it, there was absolutely no pain. And the erection happens with me in about 5 minutes. I've done Viagra, but erections on Caverject are nothing but incredible--harder than when I was 20...and I'm 50+!

Thumbs up

I use both Viagra (50mg) and Muse successfully. I keep the Muse around for those times when my wife and I do not want to wait the 60 minutes Viagra takes with me, or when I have a full stomach. Muse works on me within 15 minutes after application. It is not as good as Viagra for me - I get a "90%" erection, but that's good enuf. The main side effect is a lasting moderate ache in your penis and groin for about two hours, but if I don't think about it I don't notice it.
The application is key for Muse. See the Vivus videotape - available on their web site. Your utheria must be moist, both for ease of insertion of the Muse applicator, and more importantly, for quick dispersion of the medication. You do that by either urinating right before application, or - which works better for us - fooling around for a while so that my penis is moist with "precum". The application itself is not a big deal once you get the hang of it - no pain or irritation at all. The erection is there in 15 minutes, and lasts for an hour or so.
I've not tried Caverject and don't think I'd be able to stick myself with a needle down there. Hope this helps. As I said, check out the Muse video on the Vivus site.
Will try some Levitra shortly to see if it offers any advantave to the blue diamond.

I have tried both. Muse hurt a lot more than the needle, and didn't work as well as Caverject.
