I had the weirdest situation last night with my gf.

I'd taken Viagra before, and really enjoyed it. I usually take half a pill, as the full pill makes me extremely over-sensitive and it's difficult to get to sleep.

So I've come down with a bit of a cold; mostly head congestion and extremely stuffy nose. Popped half a pill anyway and settled down and waited for it to kick in. Within 15 minutes my throat feels like it's closing up, I have great difficulty swallowing, and I'm so congested I cannot breath through my nose at all.
I hadn't been taking any other kind of meds; for my cold or otherwise, so I'm sure it's not side effects battling with each other.

I have a basic understanding of how the pills work; they increase blood flow in your vessels. Is it possible that the blood vessels in my nose and throat just got some extra blood and swelled up? After about 30 minutes I was able to breathe normally again. Also, I felt nothing anywhere else on my body; it's like it was all concentrated in my throat.


Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
