1st time Viagra user and ZIP - Sexual Dysfunction Treatment Message Board

My husband announced to me this morning that he had taken a Viagra pill last night before bed thinking by the time I got there it would've kicked in. Well obbviously it didn't. He said his heart raced all night and this morning he had an awful headache. He's been useless all day.

So, my last hope of a help for our sex life has vanished right before my eyes. He is 43 and about 40 lbs overweight. He was also just recently told his blood sugar is a little elevated. Not awful (fasting 150).

Anyone have any suggestions at all on how to jump start his sex drive??

Testosterone is the sex drive hormone for men & women. Have it tested. If it is in the lower half of the range he will probably have problems. Also have the estrogen E2 tested. If it is in the upper half of the range he will have problems. If he has boobs he is probably low in testosterone & high in estrogen.

The doc can prescribe a compounded testosterone gel of any strength to get his levels back up into the upper half of the range. The compounded testosterone is abour 1/4 the cost of the commerical gel packets. The lower half of the "T" range is for men over 75 years old.
