The cost of my implant was covered under my insurance with UnitedHealthCare, and I only had to pay $100.00. I did see on hospital bill that the insurance paid, and it was over $34,000. Since you're on medicare, I'm not sure of the amount they will cover, but I suspect you could work out something with your urologist, or have him make arrangements to see that your out of pocket expenses would be minimal. For your sake, I certainly hope you can work it out if you do indeed need an implant. You certainly shouldn't have to give up that part of your life forever when there is an option. I've heard of others who did use medicare but I;m not sure what percentage was covered.

I was in the hospital for a couple of days. The medicine for pain made me so nauseous and I couldn't keep anything down, but once that was under control, I went home.
