Ia m looking to speak with someone that has had an 3 piece penile implant . I had he sugery 5 days ago and wan to find out a few things about recovery time .also willing to share my expierence so far. any response will be appreciated

You will find that after the first week or so, healing will be fairly rapid, but you'll not be able to inflate or use the device for at least 6 weeks. Let us know as you progress of any question you may have..someone on the board will have a response. Did you get an AMS or Coloplast?

I have the ams 3 piece implanted.thanks for your respnse.some questions that i have are i seem to have a stinging sesation in my right testicle .very uncomfortable,the pump hangs much lower than both testicles,i would say about 3/4 of an inch and seems to pull down on the scrotum.and also is the pump suppose to be as hard feeling that it is. I assumed that it would be more on the soft side.i have not tried to use it and will not until told to do so.i do go to see the urologist in 6 days . They sure do not give you any info after surgery to what to exspect..........thanks

welcome to the group and the implant world. Since you are newly implanted...just relax. It's going to be kind of messed up down there for a while. The pump position, hardness and all the other worrisome things will change with a little time. All should settle down in a few weeks. Let your body have some time to adjust and relax. If you have the AMS (Like all the ones I have had) there is some information your doc should give to you at activation. Ask for this...it should also have the implant type, and sizing.

Sounds as though you have been thru it more than once.so i can assume that all that i asked about is pretty much the norm ? I was told i would be back to work in 10 days but at the rate i am going i do not see that being true.i struggle to stay on my feet long enough to shower.i more than appreciate the replys i have gotten. Puts me more at ease.this is my third surgery,gall bladder,prostate,and now this.is there anything else that would be of help as to try and relieve discomfort? Again thanks for the replys.they are most appreciated..............
