TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

Started using Trimix injections in late Feb 09. It works most of the time very well. I have alternated injection site religously. After 14 injections I have a hardness on the left and right side of the penis. After visiting with the URO he tells me I may(?) have a case of Peyronies disease. What is treatment for Peyronies? He did indicate there was treatment and could not tell me if the injections is what causes the hardening. I had no hardness in these areas until July (09).

Has anyone else experienced this with TriMix? What is Fibrosis of this area appear like?
Trimix is the best thing I have used to date. Pretty reliable.

Would appreciate your input if you have had issue.
BTW I am changing URO's. ASAP!

Thanks in advance.

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

Tri-mix and other injections are known to cause Peyronnes. Everytime you inject the needle, there is some scarring, worse in some than in others. Apparently you are subject to it. I had it after very few injections. There are some treatements to try. I tried an experimental drug, (don't remember the name right now) that helped somewhat. It was VERY expensive, over $1,000 for two months worth. Ultimately, I had an implant. Some suggest using Vitamin E, others say it really doesn't work. Good luck on finding treatment.

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

Thank you for your quick reply. I dont believe I have Peyronies yet but I need a new URO to tell me what I have. I am not curving with erection very much. Unfortunately my current URO did not do exams etc before issuing the TriMix. and I didnt investigate procedures like I normally would so I guess my absent mindedness may have caused me a real problem here. I dont know for sure.

I thought maybe I had some fibrosis etc but I am not sure how fibrosis shows up. I guess I will find out.

Anyway again thanks for your time and consideration in reply.

BTW how did the implant go?

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

During the year that my husband used Tri-Mix he developed fibrosis (scarring). Sometimes it appeared to bend a little, but the doc said it was not Peyronnes. However, his penis just doesn't seem the same shape as before. Recently he stopped using the injections and is going back to using Viagra alone.

Piano0105

Thanks for your thread. I am sorry to hear he had to go back to Viagra, particularily if the TriMix was working. I cant go back to Viagra, Levetra or Cialis. Too many severe side effects.

I assume the doctor told him to stop the injections?

I met with my family physician today and he wants me to get with a uro that specializes in penile health. He wants me to have a blood flow workup along with possible ultrasound as he does not believe I have peyronies but scarring as you indicated.

Again thanks for your kind input

Hi, I have been using triMix for 7 years with no ill effects of the penis. My Uro did mention as i'm sure yours did that repeated injections in the same area will start to form scar tissue which sounds like maybe that is whats happening to you, even though you may think you move it around to prevent this very thing from beginning. Lets face it unless you have a porn stars 12 inch penis there is only a number of places that you are able to inject the TriMix. It also depends how many injections you give yourself. Once a day twice and day, once or twice a month? you get the picture. Look for signs of your problem like bending of the shaft, curling up or down. Your Uro should be able to readly identify what it is. If he can not find another one. I hope this helps.

Good Luck

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

As an after thought of my first reply I forgot to tell you I use a pump for my penis. I have used it for years enlarging my penis by 2inchs in length and over an inch in girth. The point is I had a slight curve in my penis when I first started using the pump, now after a few years my penis is straight as an arrow. I have no signs of any scarring and what seems to be a healthy penis. I can not say whether the pump was the help or not, but I would like to think so. I use the pump 5 days a week letting my penis rest for two.

Those who would like to try you can buy pumps on line. This excercise will only work if you use the pump without fail and do not expect results in a week or so.

Good Luck

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

Thank you for your reply and the information. Wow 7 years on Trimix! Obviously it works for you.

Yes I have a little curve up now and the Uro said I had Peyronies but the shots didnt cause it. What? I didnt have any hardening prior to taking the shots and only started in July after the shots about one a week or maybe every two weeks . Stopped the injections in August. The Uro did not tell me about scarring. Only to alternate sides but I did go up and down the shaft on the shots. I now have the hardness along the upper ridge and it is quite hard. The Uro gave a prescription a diagram and let me have at the Trimix in February. Needless to say that was not bright on my part. Anyway I have an appointment with a specialist next Wednesday. Hopefully he will have some encouraging news for a treatment. I have not read of anything real good on the medical web pages.

You mentioned the pump. I assume you mean a vacuum pump. How long have you been using it? Can you tell me the type? Probably not the brand since I dont think the site allows for that.

In any case thank you so much for the information.

Best Regards

Jim

Re: TriMix injections and Peyronies, Fibrosis?

Hi: Jim Yes a Vacuum pump and you can get them on line at any sex toy site. find the least expensive one around 8-10 dollars will do just fine. They sell them for as high as 2-3 hundred. They all have the same function. I have been using one for over 6 years with no ill effects, only positive ones. Feel comfortable to use one as often as you like. Start by leaving it on for around 5 minutes and work up to 15 minutes.

Cheers.

Larry.
