Hi, i'm 33 years old and my ED started aged 27 after I had taken Viagra recreationally on about 6 occassions over a 2-3 week period. I took the Viagra as I suffered from PE and taking this helped greatly. Obvioulsy in hindsight this wasnt the right thing to do as the consequences have given me serious mental issues. Before taking the Viagra I could get a rock hard erection no problem but PE was always a problem.
I decided I didnt want to take Viagra anymore after the 2-3 period and found my erection went within 10 seconds, I lost all nocturnal and morning erections too. Im adament that taking the Viagra has caused my ED, I think it may have weakened the nerves which create and maintain an erection.
My friend recommended the drug Ecstacy which I took and it did nothing, in fact I was limper than ever UNTIL the next day after I had been to sleep. The day after taking this drug I could maintain an erection no problem and had delayed ejaculation, marvellous but I didnt want to go down the route of taking an illegal drug the day before I wanted sex. My theory is that the Ecstacy surpresses the nerves responsible for causing an erect penis to go flaccid, see my earlier post relating to sympathetic nerve blocks. Yohimbine works in the same way, i.e it suppresses the nerves responsible for causing the penis too go
I used Cialis for a number of years but now I lose my erection even with this. Ive had all the tests, doppler etc and everything shows up normal. Various urologists told me it was all in my head but the severity of my ED and the fact I didnt experience morning erections told me otherwise and luckily my latest urologist for which ive paid for as a private patient agrees with me. Injections and MUSE were far too painful also. I pleaded with my urologist to do a sympathetic nerve block in order to suppress the nerves responsible for causing the pennis to go soft, i.e replicating the effect of ecstacy and yohimbine on the nerves. However the uroligist isnt willing to do this.
My urologist feels that I will need an implant and has recommended an AMS 700 Ultrex which can be provided to me free of charge on the NHS. Although I saw the uro as a private patient he does practice on the NHS and is willing to do the implant on the NHS which is good.
I'm 80% certain that I want the implant but my concerns are explaining to a female why I've got the implant and i'm also concerned about the lack of hardness of the glans. Does the glans get any hardness at all? I heard the AMS 700 Ultrex expands into the glans slightly, is this true?
In addition how big is the pump which sits in the scotum? Im 33 now and another worry is how many implants I will need over the rest of my life. How many revisions can the penis take? Will it be that when I reach 60 I wont be able to have any more implants and that would be it for me in terms of a sex life. I'm also worried that I wont be able to accept that I have a mechanical erection and im different to other men who can get and maintain an erection naturally. My head is in bits at the moment and I'm not certain what to do.
Thats the end of my ramble, any comments would be appreciated.
