Dapoxetine?

for premature ejaculation. It's another SSRI. Found the same press release a good many times on the internet. Field studies are going on now. Just wondering if anyone on here may be participating in one of the studies or know someone that is? Thanks.

My husband and I were accepted to participate in the study but my husband declined when he found out it was an ssri. He refuses to take them. It is 6 apts. The first is 3 hours long and your partner must go with. They take blood everytime. It is at 60mg, 30mg, and a placebo they are testing. They give the partner a log and a stopwatch to time the event and record it. YOu have to have 3 rectal exams. It is pretty intense and nosey study for the potential of walking away with a placebo.

My husband is particpating in this study. Taking the pills in advance has made it more of a scheduled task than something that just happens from time to time.

Someone on here was asking about the side effects. Check out * for a good list at the bottom of the page.

If you are on the placebo, they will give you the SSRI at the end to try so it may not be a total loss.

Thanks so much for the posts. It's very interesting. Bonita, would you mind posting comments about how it's going or whatever you want to post about the drug and/or the experience? I have questions like...How is this drug different from taking Paxil or Zoloft for PE? I've tried both and they seem to be "hit and miss". Sometimes working well and othertimes not. Since this drug is said to be marketed FOR P.E., how (if at all) is it chemically different than other SSRI's? Very curious? I feel like the best treatment of P.E., and after almost 8 years of worrying about and dealing with this I think I am somewhat qualified, is Viagra. I am 25 and I can pull out and resume immediately with a strong erection. I can literally go as long as I want, having 2,3,4 orgasms. But, Viagra is not cheap. So...something else to try would be great.

I am not familiar with any drugs so I do not know how it is different than others but I did not think Viagra was for P.E. so this may not be for you.

Is there anyone else on this board that is doing this study?

Viagra isn't recommened for P.E., but think about it... if you can stay hard for extended amounts of time, you can last for extended amounts of time. There is really no refractory period with me on Viagra. My penis gets a little softer but after a couple of minutes it swells back up. Its works for my PE even though it is not recommended for it.
