I'm a guy, and only tried one to masturbate with. It definitely makes my erection bigger in both length and girth (I would say by a 1/2" overall - not a lot, but noticeable). However, it also seems to numb my penis a little in some ways, while increasing sensitivy in others. The head of my penis seems to become more sensitive from being so erect and engorged, so that makes for a nice feeling. I don't like ejaculating with the ring in place though, as it seems to put pressure on my urethra, and restricts the semen from coming out, so it's kind of uncomfortable during ejaculation. I mean all the semen does come out, but I can feel pressure behind it, like its getting backed up from the restriction of the ring. My penis also becomes much more red colored, and the veins sometimes swell and become more noticeable. Also, my penis will stay completely hard until I take the ring off. However, I never had a problem maintaining an erection naturally, so this isn't a benefit to me.
I question the safety of using a penis ring, so I've only tried it a few times.

Also make sure its of a kind that can be taken off once the penis is hard.. Not a solid one. Those are really dangerous and difficult to remove! My hubby and I tried it, and it did make his erection a lot harder..but orgasm was more difficult for him, I think.. So I'd say that the ring is a fun toy, but not for everyday use! Hope that helps!

I have liked one that I have used. I don't like to orgasm with it on because it reduces the amount of my shaft that is available for pumping. I like to feel the whole thing when I am having sex with my wife. She liked it, though. Make sure that you buy one that fits right. Know your measurements. I chafed my penis when I first used mine because the ring was too small. Be careful about that.
