is this weird?

I don't know if there's something wrong with me. But hearing other people have sex sort of turns me on. Like, if the people in the dorm room next to mine are doing it loud, I get a little excited. But even like, hearing my roommate and her bf, or even my parents, arouses me too. It's not like I'm picturing me having sex with them, I just like hearing people have sex. But it makes me feel like there's something strange about me, cuz most other people don't want to hear that stuff, they put headphones on or earplugs...help! Am I totally unbalanced?

Re: is this weird?

That is true, I try not to think about my parents doing "it". As far as I know they have done "it" 4 times (I have 3 sisters).

You are perfectly normal, people get there jollies in different ways. I, like you love to hear people having sex, it is a turn on. I try to get my hubby to be a bit more vocal. Men are supposed to be more "visually" stimulated, so maybe women are more turned on by sounds. No matter what, be secure in yourself...you are fine.

Re: is this weird?

I've heard the other people in the apartment complex going at it.

It's kinda cool, then it makes me feel lonely, and then glad that I'm not doing it where/when other people can hear it.

( if I had a partner who really had me turned on, I probably wouldn't care though )

Girls aren't the only ones who like sounds. Guys like them too.

Re: is this weird?

I don't think you're weird at all. I live in a condo complex in very close proximity to other people. The guy above me had his (now ex) gf over and I could always hear them and he's very vocal which none of my ex bfs were. But for me, I didn't want to hear them. It all worked out because he's my bf now.

Re: is this weird?

Ok I kind of get excited with hearing other people having sex, too. However, I get a little grossed out if it is my close friends, or my parents. I dont think, though that you are weird for feeling this way. If you grew up in a really open family the idea of your parents having sex was not a weird, taboo thing. I had a friend who daily would hear her parents going at it. Her mom would also share things with her about her sex life and my friend would openly share with her mom as well. I think that you are perfectly normal, but if you start wanting to watch your parents, that may be a little weird.

Re: is this weird?

Hi,

i really wouldnt worry about it hun because when you think about it,its perfectley normal cos' people look at porn etc to get turned on,its pretty much the same thing and by the way im sure that alot of other people do like it , they probably just dont tell friends etc because they are embarassed or think people will find them 'weird'.....just like you thought..

Re: is this weird?

Being aroused by hearing other people engaged in sexual intercourse is perfectly normal. If it bothers you, you can always drown out the sound by putting on a radio or TV.
