My bf and I both find that after sex we are both extremely sore, myself for up to a week after, and he feels bruised for a few hours/day after we have sex.

We find that we cannot have sex again comfortably after that for quite a few days. My cervix and other parts feel swollen and really tender. I've been to see a doctor about this but I keep getting told that we are being too rough and should take it slow.

However, we aren't rough at all, we take it extremely slowly and spend a great deal of time on foreplay, and use lots of lubricant.

I was wondering if this could be due to a size problem. I am quite short and petite, where as my bf is tall. He says that he can feel hitting my cervix which would explain the inflammation, yet he isn't inside me very much (he is average size). Is it possible my vagina is too short?

Both of us have had previous partners and have not had this problem before. We are both in our early 20's and have no major health problems.

Anyone who would be able to offer some advice we would really appreciate it.

Yes, sounds like he needs to pull back some. Dont penitrate all the way to the point of hitting your cervix. This should solve your problem. try different positions as well.

If this doesn't solve your problem, you need to see another doctor. My wife and I experienced this once, and it turned out to be a yeast infection. After treatment, she was as good as new! We haven't had problems since..

Maybe even though he isn't all the way in, when he thrusts it still hits your cervix too much. Maybe you all can experient with different positions to find one where penetration isn't as deep that won't cause soreness. I hate it when doctors assume one thing and don't listen to other things! I remember a doctor telling me the SAME thing when I would get sore from sex and kept telling me to do more foreplay even though I had plenty of that going on. For me it was a different issue, but it sounds like it could just be the size. I've heard some people say some people just aren't sexually compatible, but I don't think this is true... you just have to find a way that is comfortable! Just be patient and take things slow... maybe don't have sex for very long, even if you don't finish... just to see how things go with the soreness.
