I actually have a fairly large penis - but my current girlfriend's vagina seems very large/loose. she has mentioned previous boyfriends with large penises - I have never been with a woman whose vagina felt like this at all - anybody know more about this?

Some women are just made that way. It doesn't have anything to do with her previous boyfriends, it's just the way she is (if she's had children that could be a factor, though). You can try different positions to make things feels tighter. She could also try tightening her vaginal muscles while you have sex to make it tighter. Kegel exercies to strengthen these muscles could also help.
