are their any sexually active couples that use condoms regularly?

ive been with my bf about 2 months, and recently started having sex. i know im free of diseases because i go to the gyn 1-2 times a year.

he told me he was clean, and he wants to stop using the condoms b/c it's not feeling as good for him without them. (pregnancy is not an issue b/c im on the pill). i can understand, but i dont know for a fact that he is free of stds other than what he tells me.

we both have insurance, so we could both get tested together....but it feels a little akward doing that. in the past, ive slept with two guys who were virgins, so testing wasnt as big of an issue.

i also do realize that we dont always make the best decisions and sometimes even cheat on our partners. im not accusing him or me of ever cheating, but it happens. so, at least, if that was ever an occurance and we were using condoms potential stds may not be as much of an issue.

i really dont know how to bring this up without making it sound like an accusation. but i just want us both to be protected.

I would use the protection until you both get tested.

I would say no test no sex. And this excuse that the feeling issue is true but its not as bad as we men make it out to be. If he doesn't want to go skin diving (wearing a condom) and wont take the test it has to be no. Just remember its your body not his thst might get fowled up just because he said he is clean.
Don't trust him have him and you take the test. He'll do it if he loves you, and if he says no then you know the answer.

If you are in a comfortable, trusting relationship, he shouldn't get offended when you want to get tested. Nowadays, there are diseases (like HPV) that don't show side effects and at least 1 in every 4 women have it, so it's smart to get tested just in case! Just explain to him that you will be able to enjoy sex without condoms more knowing you are being safe.

I do know some couples that have been together for a while that regularly use condoms, but the woman is not on the pill or anything. It's just a personal preference! I know I enjoy sex without condoms better because some condoms cause chafing on me and soreness even with extra lubrication and I really don't like the rubbery smell. My guy and I have both been tested and we only use condoms if I had to take antibiotics or something or messed up my pill.

When you're dealing with your health you HAVE to take every precaution. If your bf is worth keeping around (or has an ounce of responsibility) he will be more than happy to get tested to put your mind at ease.

Seriously, don't fool around with your health. You are obviously uncomfortable taking his word for it (or else you wouldn't be posting this topic!), so have him tested!!! (but be willing to do the same for him -- he might not ask, but if he does it's only fair, and you seem willing so good for you!).
