Hello, I've been taking birth control pills for two months now. I've learned that it's safe to have sex during your period, but what about the week after? You start a new pack then, but when you begin the very first pack it says to wait seven days. After you've completed the first pack, is it still necessay to wait seven days after you've started a new pack before having sex?

No. You only need to wait 7 days on your first pack of pills to have sex, after that you're protected under the pill. Birth control is effective enough to be used as your only form of protection againts pregnancy. As long as you and your partener have been tested for STDs.
