hi,
I need some help on a problem i have been having. I havent had a period for about a year and a half. I havent had a paps smear yet and im afraid to get one. I am afraid of what they might find. I am 18 and im still a virgin. so I really dont like the idea of someone looking between my legs. I dont know what I should do. someone please help me.

well, im assuming youve already had one before, and if you have, then you should go to the doctor right away.
i know, it can be embaressing, but your going to a trained doctor who deals with this stuff specifically, and im pretty sure that it will be your doctors first day at work, so she has seen it all before, and has like 10-more appointments to her, what makes you think you should be embaressed? its not like shes going to perpously remember you.
if you dont get this checked out, it could lead to something serious, includeing infirtility

You do need to go in and find out what is going on. I am not sure what all the embarassment is that people worry about since the doc is merely doing his job and has seen front's, backs and everything in between a zillion times in his job. Your basic body is no different than anyone elses so let the doc do what he is trained to do and find out what is going on. When you take your car to a mechanic are you embarrassed to have him look under the hood? I sure hope not so don't be embarrassed to let the doc examine your body and fix what it wrong.

Well, lets think of it this way. Would you rather sit and worry (like you are doing now), or have a doctor take a look and have a few tests done and find out whats going on. I sure would rather be embarrassed for a few moments, than to sit day in and day out wondering and worrying that there is something wrong. To go in and see the doctor is no big deal. Its only a few moments out of the day, but its the best thing you can do for yourself.
