Question Help about Anal

My b/f and I want to try anal. He has put his fingers in and we both get off on that. I have read all the posts about being well lubricated, using a condom, etc, but is there anything else we need to be aware of. I thought I had read once about needing to use an enema before having anal sex to clean out the bowel, is this necessary? Any advice would be great, we really want to try this, but have it be as comfortable as possible :-). Thanks in advance!

There are several great books that can help you.
As for the enema that is a personal choice more than anything. A good way to avoid any mess is to have a bowel movement about two hours before anal and/or a shower before. The shower you two can take together and make sure things are clean.
The best rule of thumb though is this..if you think you have enough lube add more. When it comes to anal the more lube the better.

Doing it in the shower the first time might be a good way to lessen the worry. Generally the anal tract is free of feces so I doubt there will be any messy explosions. Go slow and easy - having practiced with fingers will make things a lot easier.

Yes, usually the anal tract is free of feces, UNLESS you are constipated. Then you might consider giving yourself an enema or to be easier on yourself a suppository or something.
And definitely go very very very slow until your anus relaxes...actually just go slow at all times and of course LUBE LUBE LUBE and more LUBE!
Good Luck!
