Ok, if ANYONE can help me resolve this problem I will name my first born after them! This has been ongoing now for about a year. My girlfriend had a really bad yeast infection (the first one she ever got) so before she knew she had it, we had sex. Well I caught the yeast infection. It was bad. I went to the doc, she prescribed some statin powder, after using that for about a month or so everything *seemed* to clear up. Later my girlfriend and I attempted to have sex. She got a yeast infection a day to two later. Tried again later, she got a bladder infection

this went on for awhile. I have been trying Monistat creams, Jock Itch creams, powders and sprays. Ive been to a family planning clinic to check for STDs, ive been back to the Doc....all have told me just to use over the counter stuff, and telling me they are stumped. My penis head is red (dotty red) and its scalling (like paper cuts all over the head) but it doesnt hurt. It smells like fish at times. And it moist. Same with my testicles, but not as bad. (the initial yeast infection was worse on my testicles). I cant get rid of this ! If anyone can help me at all i would be so happy ! i am getting so depressed about this. It is ruining my life (ok, i shouldnt be so dramatic).

Are you circumcised??

It also might be a different type of fungal infection that is not of the Candida type and is resistant to the OTC cremes you have been using.

Corticosteroid cremes do wonders, so you might want to ask your doctor about it in addition to other anti-fungal agents.

Well you need to push the docs to get off their *** and help you.

The Corticosteroid creme is just a generic family of cremes, the specific type or name is up to your doctor.

Bring these topics up to your doctor and see where he goes with it.

just a note..yeast infections do not smell like fish. fishy odors are most commonly bacterial vagi something or another. i get them every now and again. im sure uve heard this over and over but make sure that she pees before and after sex. i know its a mood killer but i have same probs and me and hubby got used to the peeing ritual. also douching is bad if she is using them. i have these same probs..well not urs but ur gfs. its a pain and seems neverending and i still havent found a doc to help yet either so if u should come up with a cure let me know. also..the fish odor associated with bacterial infection is not curable by over the counter products..and it will not go away on its own u will have to get a prescription for that and maybe the both of u should take it instead of just ur gf. it is expensive tho just so u know. good luck to u and i hope u get cured soon!
