Qustion on Zoloft and PE

Each article or write-up on SSRI's suggests "low doses" to treat PE. My questions are these; what is the lowest dose of, say Zoloft, that anyone has taken resulting in an effective delay of orgasm? What would be a realtively "safe" mix of milligrams and alcoholic drinks. I'd like to take the lowest amount necessary for it to actually work. Also, I'd like to know if guys taking an SSRI for PE take it daily, or only when they really anticipate sex? How many hours before anticipated sexual encounters do you take it? Lunch time (8 hrs before)? Dinner time (3-4 hrs. before)?

I ask this because I have tried Paxil and Zoloft for PE and it seemed kind of like a "hit or miss" treatment. Meaning sometimes it worked much better than others. Sometimes it seems not at all. Now I am ready to try again. On 40 milligrams of Paxil I went Jekyl/Hyde after 6-8 beers on more than one occasion. I also blacked out from "drinking" for the first times in my life. I know it was the paxil. I am a pretty health/fit male in my mid-20's. I really was not myself and it almost cost me dearly on the Paxil. I have never had bad situations like this with Zoloft, which is the drug I am considering again. NO MORE PAXIL! Any thoughts or comments on this?

Thanks much

Also very, very interested in hearing new dapoxetine updates.

Did you ever find an answer to this question? I have an order of Zoloft underway.. did it work for you? What dosages did you use?

Thanks!

Re: Qustion on Zoloft and PE

It sounds as though you guys are using SSRI's to help with delaying ejaculation. What that says to me is that you are taking them without the prescription or advice of a medical professional and for something other than depression. Sorry guys that isn't cool and can be quite dangerous, particularly when you add alcohol or other drugs to the mix. There are other ways to delay ejaculation than medicating yourself with drugs!

Thats fine bud, I've just read so much lately about folks taking meds that they aren't prescribed!
