What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

[deleted]

According to the site above, masturbation harms the brain in a way if done too frequent.

But what is too frequent??

Is once a day considered as too frequent??

I don't think it's interfering with my time but i'm wondering if this is the reason why i feel not as smart as i was.

Anyway, i'm having trouble in believing which side of the debate.

Some people say it's healthy and it's has no side effects but on the other hand there are some thst say the opposite.

Both side of the arugement has no reliable proof which is why i'm having trouble to believe which side.

It's sorta make sense that indulgence always comes at price. So would that mean masturbation will cost your health. Although side effects aren't immediately apparent but probably will when you're older.

In my opinion, it is only "too frequently" if it interferes with your life and prevents you from doing things that you would normally do such as going to school or studying when you need to.

The only way it can harm your brain is if you are masturbating so much that you don't have time to do homework or study for a test.

Over masterbation... A friend of mine told me that it causes chemical imbalances, by what means he didn't say but to over masterbate means when you get headaches and like already said it interferes with your life. I say don't masterbate more than twice a day, I can handle more and I am sure you can to but it's sufficient.

Re: What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

Hey bud, your body will tell you when enough is enough or you've "over masturbated" and caused some problem. I was a once a day masturbator for years and never had a problem, some guys (particularly in their teens/young adult years) will masturbate several times a day, just part of the deal. Masturbation does not effect intelligence or memory or cause any medical or physical problems...in fact it may help reduce stress or anxiety. If masturbation becomes such a habit that it interferes with school, work, study time or social activities...then and only then is it a problem. I've been masturbating for more than 30 years, take it from a pro, don't worry about it man, it isn't worth your time to get into too much debating about it!

Re: What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

Lets get something straight. A lot has been said about the medical consequences of masturbation, though it is often spread via hearsay and rumour. Most of these supposed consequences are directly descended from a pamphlet written in the mid-eighteenth century called 'Onania and the Heinous Sin of Self-Pullution'. As the title suggests, it was moralistic in tone and written at a time when society cast a very disapproving eye over all forms of unreproductive sex. The myths were perpetuated during the nineteenth century, but medical science abandoned them in the early twentieth century. Think of it as a medical conspiracy.

As everyone else has already said, your body will tell you when you've masturbated enough - if it is satisfied, you'll find that you temporarily lose interest. As for your intelligence, well, among my friends, the most frequent masturbators are university students - I guess we just have more time on our hands.

over masturbation is when it won't get hard again. your body tells you that enough is enough.
socially, over masturbation is when you start turning down dates, or not doing something which you would enjoy or really need to do, to stay home and masturbate.

Re: What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

I've found that too many ejaculations, from masturbation or sex, tends to make me feel very at ease, almost lazy like. On the surface that may sound good, but for me I tend to loose that energetic motivation to get "more productive" things done. I'm 39 and for me an orgasm every other day or so my limit to stay maximally efective in other areas of life. Certainly one or more every day and I'm too lazy in other areas.

Re: What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

I see a lot of Caltholics actually debating over this (me being one)

"Tis pleasing thyself uneccesarily! Tis a sin, taking for granted what God gave us!"

"However, tis natural, and why would God make something so natural a sin? It reduces anxieties that lead to sins such as adultery!"

"Tis a sin because God is testing us!"

"No, he wouldn't contradict himself so!"

But no medical reasons for normal, un obsessive masturbation. It's fine once a day, as long as you aren't skipping work or school for it...

(See why I take my religion through a personal level, and not through them...)

Re: What is considered as Over-Masturbation??

Too much?? I asked my doctor (called her in fact) she says its only too much when you hubby goes to pleasure you and cant find his penis! LOL If its the woman who is doing it--she says-when you reach down to pleasure him and cant find find a clitoris! She is a crackup! Basically she said its not that its "too much" its when it becomes obsessive(cant go out to get the mail with out touching it, neibors are wondering if theres an itch thats needs treated, lol things like that). Medically it wont hurt you, may cause you to have difficulty performing(you know, when it seems like your partner cant hit that spot ) after having specific sexual stimulation but other then that...whack away!
