erection problems age 24 information

Hi everyone,

I am a 24 year old male and I recently realized I have some erection difficulties. I hadn't had sex for the first time up until a couple months ago so I wasn't really aware of any erection problems. When I was with myself it took quite a lot of manual stimulation to get an erection, but I didn't know I had a problem because I was never with a girl before. When I am with my girlfriend we can have foreplay for extended periods and I still won't have an erection hard enough for intercourse, eventhough I am really turned on. Even after she gives me oral sex sometimes it still isn't hard enough.

I also noticed my urine stream is a little weaker and it dribbles quite a lot after I am done urinating. Also my ejaculation is pretty weak too. It just kind of spills over the tip and doesn't shoot like it used to. I still get morning erections. I can still get erections when I want to masturbate everytime I try, but it takes alot of manual stimulation. When I am with my girlfriend I sometimes can't get erections unless I was to use my hand or have her help me out, but it takes so long and it's kind of kills the mood. So I went and saw my doctor and he checked my prostate (was ok), and tested me for testosterone levels, diabetes, checked for signs of testiclular cancer, and high blood pressure. My testosterone levels were good, prostate was good, didn't have diabetes, testicles checked out ok, but my blood pressure was a little high.

He also made me an appointment with a urologist (coming up soon) and in the mean time perscribed me some cialis. The cialis works great, with no real side effects except maybe a little headache. Using Cialis made my erections the way they used to be when I was 18-20, but I still hope the urologist can narrow it down to some type of physical problem so I can stop taking cialis. I tried not taking it one weekend, and the same old erection problems came back, so I will continue to take cialis for now BTW you can take cialis on a friday night and be able to have spontaneous erections until monday morning, pretty cool

This is so crazy to me, because I am only 24, I don't smoke, I don't drink excessivly, I don't do any drugs, I am on 0 medications, I am in good shape, I have very little stress, so I don't understand why I am have erection difficulties at my age. It's a little scary.

I am just wondering if any other young men are experiencing or have experienced erectile dysfunction similiar to this and had similar symptoms and what the outcome of seeing thier doctor/urologist was? has anyone had any success in determining their cause of ED? Has anyone had theirs cured once they determined what the phyiscal cause was?

I will be sure to post any information I find out from going to my urologist and whatever my doctor may find out. Please post any success stories or information you may have.

Cheers

Re: erection problems age 24 information

Hey, your not alone, I am 22 and I have problems.. I have been having problems since december '05 when I met my exgf, we tried having sex, I had it up for a little while, and it went away, couldnt get it back all ngiht. We kept going out for about 6 months, six months no sex - no more gf. can only give her head for so long

I met a girl that loves sex so much that I pushed myself to see a doctor, he said it was phsycological ED and gave me a 50mg viagra pack, no dice with that i would get an erection, and it would go away in about.. 4 maybe 5 minutes, then it would come back.. go away.. come back.. So now he is trying Cialis on me, if that doesnt work I am going to a uroligist as well, so let me know how it goes.

I am so ****** off, I am 22 not 65, I should be a sex stud in bed, I am 5'11 180 lbs so I am fit, perfect health, great girlfriend.. ***!

One thing that hurts me alot though, is I have no med insurance, (grew up as a broke redneck country boy), so the trip to the uro is going to burn a hole in my pocket, its worth it if they find something though.

I am in the same boat guys. I get an erection during four play, and then we start having sex and it immediately goes away. I used to be able to go at it for ever but now I can't. I am only 26 and have had this problem for like 2 years. Please post about what the uroligist says.

Most doctors will say you are OK if your testosterone is anywhere in the "Normal" range. That range is not "NORMAL" it is from a group of males from age 21 to 90.

A 21 yeal old with a T level at the bottom end is not OK, he should be at the upper end of the "Normal" range.

Most doctors do not test for Estradiol E2 levels. It should be in the lower 1/4 to 1/3 of the "Normal" range.

If the T:E2 ratio is below 20:1 it can cause sex problems.

Always get an E2 test with the Testosterone test & keep a copy of all results for your personal records.

Low "T" and/or high "E2" will kill the sex drive.

High E2 or low T:E2 ratio such as below 10:1 will cause boob growth.

Re: erection problems age 24 information

Man, do you think you might suffer from performance anxiety? It is very real for some men. I experienced it once and it was one of the most embarrasing moments of my life. You say you have no erection problems in masturbation, so I would think there's nothing wrong with your equipment. Honestly, is it stage fright? I've heard of many cases, not just in 'rising to the occasion' but in other things as well. Sometimes anxiety can dampen anything, and even a mental block can develop and prevent you from performing.

What do you think? Do you get nervous when with your girl?
