i am 19 and my crotch area close to my penis has been smelling since i can remember.
i never had sex or came in contact with any genitals to mine.
i have tried scrubbing there but the smell comes back. i am also circumcized.
can someone give me some way to get rid of the smell.
the odor always comes back after washing.

If you are very hairy you might want to consider shaving/trimming your pubes. It can help eliminate odor because all that hair holds sweat, and then starts to smell. Give it a try!
there are musky scent glands on either side of the scrotum, where it attaches to the body close to the penis. this smell is generally considered attractive. if this is a bad smell, see your doctor. it could be the sign of an infection, such as gardnerella.
ive got the same exact problem and i know of a friend who states the same thing, the doctor said it was just what they smell like. Your testicles dont really get too much air, so think of it like a band-aid, when you leave one on, it smells
Here are somethings that can help.
- Wear loose boxer shorts when you are not exercising. They let more air in there and that helps to keep things dry. Do wear support of some sort when exercising, even informally.
- Use an antibacterial soap. It will help cut down the bacteria that can cause extra smells.
- Never sleep in briefs or boxer briefs. Let you body get plenty of dry air down there at night.
- Use a little Gold Bond powder. You can put some on anytime. When do wear tigher underwear you can put some inside the crotch area and up the front before you pull them up. This will help keep you dry down there. Many men do this all the time.
What smell? I've never been with a man who had any type of odor at all coming from his genitals, so I find it hard to believe that this odor is normal? I'm talking about after a shower, not after 5 hours of tennis or anything, lol. What sort of smell are you talking about?
at the end of a day, or after a man has been active, he gives off a scent right where his scrotum attaches to his body near the penis, on either side. it is kind of a musky odor.
Be careful while urinating. Urine is one of the reasons for bad smell. If your urine has very bad smell it can stay there for a while and your genitals would smell. Take bath everyday and use a lot of soap. It helps.
