| Erection problems months after TURP
My husband had a TURP done in June of this year and it was very successful. He had in a catheter for nearly a year previous to the surgery because of an enlarged prostate and complications from rectal cancer surgery.
Not long after the TURP surgery, he was able to get complete control of his bladder and could maintain an erection, all of which was a relief to him. However, for the past few weeks, he has no longer been able to maintain an erection and we are surprised seeing as it was all working so well for 5 months before.
Has anyone had this experience? I am suggesting that if this continues and if it bothers him alot, then he should see his urologist, but meantime I am just looking for any possible advice or comments.
