Differences in strength of erection

I am not sure if this is a problem......
But here goes.
When I get an erection normally it is very strong, my problem lies when I go to masterbate for some reason it never gets full hard during the stroking, really only peaking at the very end.
This could be a problem when it comes to sex I am thinking, has any body else had this problem?

Re: Differences in strength of erection

I find that my erection is quite different when masturbating than from sexual intercourse. When masturbating I don't always have a real firm erection, but when seeing my nude wife and start foreplay, he stands at attention!!

The main question is whether you have full, pleasurable, intense sensations during the stroking when you're masturbating, even though you're not super hard ---- you should. Some of the most pleasurable sensations come (or should come) along the way, during the buildup, and the stroking shouldn't just be a process to get you to a climax. I assume your orgasms ARE intense and satisfactory. Different men have different degrees of stiffness during sex, which is why some erections reach upward toward the guy's belly, some just stand out horizontal, and some don't even lift up to horizontal level--the "erection" actually angles downward, which sort of creates a contradiction in terms! With all of them, there'll be the extra stiffening just before orgasm, like you have, as there needs to be some tight contractions to propel the semen out during ejaculation.
As for whether your lack of rock hardness will cause a problem in intercourse, I'm afraid that's a hard question for anybody to answer. Generally, guys that don't have "point to the sky" type erections seem to have sex just fine. If your masturbating is a positive and "successful" affair, it's likely that you'll be erect enough for the same to be true with intercourse. If not, there are erection aids now (Viagra, Cialis & a couple of others) that can take care of any over-slackness in your erection.
