Can men ejaculate without having an "orgasm"? What might cause this? I'm a healthy guy, in my late 30's, happily married, non-smoker, no drugs, etc. I ejaculate, but the intensity just seems low- only lasts a few seconds. Perhaps this is typical for other men too?

I'm not completely sure what you mean is of low intensity -- the ejaculation process itself (the sperm shooting out) or the orgasm sensations, but apparently you mean the latter. A common reason for low-intensity orgasms is (prescription) medications. Some medications alter the way the nerves in the penis head "perform," & reduce the intensity & probably length of orgasm. But since you say you're healthy, it doesn't sound too likely that you're regularly on medication.....
You don't say whether this has always been the case with you, and whether the orgasms are the same regardless of whether you masturbate or have intercourse --?

I think many men only experience orgasm for a few seconds with varying degrees of intensity. Some will feel hardly anything sometimes, while other times it will be on the order of being like a sneeze, and rarely it might last a bit longer or be more intense. Still, some men seem to have pretty intense ones most all the time. It is all normal. I sometimes think that while women orgasm less frequently than men, they more than make up for it in duration and intestity.
Hey, I have the same problem. I often reach the sensation of orgasm, but have no or little ejaculate. Some folks have told me that it may be due to some of the prescription medications I am taking. One guy told me that he has very intense -- and continual -- orgasms, yet never actually produces any semen whatsoever. I can almost always, however, get it up immediately after having an "semen-less" orgasms; in many respects, I like the results: more sex! (My partners like that as well!) I don't know. Check it out w/ your physician if you are taking any medications at all.
