Low Libido?

I need some advice or input from others that may be having the same experience. I am a 52 year old man in excellent health. Within the past six months I have had episodes of impotence and performance anxiety. I have been focusing mainly on the pyschological side of the problem until I realized that I am having a difficult time getting an erection at all. I have tried arousing myself as I read some of my favorite erotic material and it is still very difficult. In the past when I would have sex with my wife, I would be erect before I was out of my pants. Now it is a challenge and a frustration to my wife and me. I have tried viagra with some success, but I don't like the lack of spontaniety. I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor for next week. I was wondering if others have experienced this situation and how they have successfully dealt with it.

Re: Low Libido?

Get your total testosterone, free testosterone, & estradiol E2 levels tested. Then get & keep a copy of the tests. Most doctors do not know much about hormones. Insist on the tests.

After about 30 most men start losing testosterone production & start making estrogen. Both cases can kill the sex drive/desire. They can be corrected.

Read Dr. Shippen's book, "The testosterone Syndrome". It is a little out of date but still the best on the subject.

Good luck
