About 2 years ago, I think I developed symptoms of urithritis (sorry if I spelled wrong), wich is basicly a burning sensation on the tip of my penis, for about 3 months and a half. I just waited til it went away(stupid of me) and didn't tell a doctor. God, it was annoying! I suspect it was due to over-masterbation. Anyway, it's gone now, but I'm wondering 2 things:
1. Was it an infection? The symptoms were so similar to an infection of the urethra, that I was pretty worried-but then it went away. Can infections just go away without anti-biotics? (Cuz if they can't, then I'll be so relieved to know it was just pain due to friction)
2. Do any other guys get prolonged burning (like a month) in the tip of their penis from masterbaing too much? Does it halt growth of the penis? I hope I'm not alone.
PLEASE reply-any advice/help is great
an infection of the urethra is urethritis. yes, it can go away by itself sometimes.
it has nothing to do with masturbation. masturbation has nothing to do with the growth of the penis. it just makes sure everything is in working order. it also feels good.
For clarification, I meant to ask if the actual infection would result with problems in the future with my penis, such as halted growth? Damaged/scarred urethra? I did eventually get a urine sample during the pain's last days, and signs of infection turned up negative, so I hope its a case of "once it's gone, it's gone."
no. it's skin, and not an organ. once infection is gone from a piece of skin, it rarely reoccurs. my only other thought is that sometimes a problem with the prostate can cause the sensation of the urethra burning, without the problem actually being in the urethra.
