3 weeks ago I was on a cruise and during intercourse I stopped because there was blood coming from my penis. I went to the Ship doctor and was told I had Prostitius and this was normal for a man at the age of 50 and began antibotics. I was told I could resume normal activity in three days. When I returned home I had a prostate exam and PSA and everything was normal. I can engage in oral sex or masturbation without a problem... however when I insert my penis,,, after awhile I begin to bleed again. I tried using a condom and still have blood. Can anyone shed some light on this? Did I tear my meatus and it is healing or??? I have no stinging when I urinate.
It is very easy to tear the frenulum, that thin strip of skin just under the meatus. If it does not heal completely, it is prone to tearing again, until left alone to completely heal. No sex, no masturbation, is the best way. I dealt with this for months, until I let it heal fully. I never had a problem since.
I had the same problem as tommy, it was tough to stop sex and masturbation for about six weeks, but it was well worth it since I haven't had any reaccurance.

I can't imagine why blood would come out during intercourse, but not during masturbation. This is one of the strangest things I have ever heard. No wonder you are stumped. I don't think abstinence is going to buy you anything. I would see another urologist.
