We would all like our penis to grow, but if you are nearly 18 then it is pretty well nearly there! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is very little you can do about it. Pills, potions and lotions just do not work.
Concentrate on learning what it can do for you, and how to use it properly and it will last you a lifetime!
And yes 5" is well within the normal average range.
"I want it to grow more" is definitely normal for guys.
Your penis is pretty much done growing by now. It is in the normal range, and yes, it can please a woman.
My penis is less than 5 inches, but I weigh 250 lbs. I hear that losing some weight will result in some gain in length. (Could've sworn I used to be longer as a skinny teenager, too.) If you are overweight, there's some good news in the hidden potential you have.
i actually mismeasured...................
im 6.2 inches.
Then you are on the high end of average, if not maybe even on the small end of large, or at least long. And you are probably done growing but you might get a tad bit more, but if your correct length is 6.2", you are more than adequate in length (you don't mention girth, which can be more important actually).
Yeah, I personnaly think that 5 inch average is made just to make short guys feel good (no offense intended, honestly). I'm 18 and my penis is exactly 6.5 (its a weird feeling... measuring yourself >.>)

agreed...very strange feeling, i remember the first time I decided to measure it. I was nervous to see that it was really small. Then it came up to be 6 1/2... but i was about 15 and didnt know if that was good or not.

I don`t know when penises stop growing, but from my personal experience gained from previous partners, I would say that 5 - 7 inches is average. I also saw one small about 4 inches, and one large at about 9 inches.

One problem with females reporting their partner's size is that they are usually guessing. There are debates on the proper way to measure, and errors of well over an inch are possible. Some guys will jam the ruler deep into their pubic bone to maximize the measurement, while others might measure the length that will actually go inside a vagina, which can easily be more than an inch less that the other measurement. I think the "correct" way is to gently rest the ruler lightly against the pubic bone and measure to the tip. I think this overstates how much penis can actually go inside, but it provides a consistent measurement technique. But, unless the girl actually measures, her guess may be way off. She, of course, has a good idea of the relative sizes, but maybe not the actual size, unless of course her partner let her get the ruler out, something some guys would be freaked out by as they don't want to come up short.

A certain amount of this goes back to the old Kinsey survey of the 50's or 60's, where they got men to measure thier own penises and report the measurement - so everybody lied of course!!! Well exagerated then! So the survey reported higher than actual averages! And men have always gone on with this exageration ever since.
So today doctors have come up with a new way to measure penises. Given that the size flaccid is no reflection of how big it will get, they dont measure this, but since doctors have to measure penises that may only be flaccid they can get a proper indication of the erect size by stretching the flaccid penis until it will stretch no more, and then measureing this. Because when stretched flaccid, it can never get bigger than this so doctors get an acurate measurement! So there!
It is not the length but the girth that would cause possible problems. Tell us how big around you are and we can better answer your question. It is still unlikely you would be too big, though it might be uncomfortable for some women.
At worst, you would have to learn how to be gentle, and not hurt a woman.
This would involve learning good foreplay, gentle entry, and in some women, not banging on the cervix.
