I've been experiencing itching and dry skin on the shaft and head of the penis. I've been using Lotramin cream on it, which seems to have helped a bit, but considering that Lotramin is for Jock Itch, which this is probably not (considering that I hear that Jock Itch doesn't affect the actual penis) I was wondering if there was anything else I could do.

The symptoms started as something akin to a minor itch that I sometimes get in a specific area, and I thought it would go away naturally, but after a few days the itching became more pervasive, and dry skin began to appear. It was at this point that I started using the cream. After I started using the cream, the really bad spots of the dry skin peeled off, but there is still a general condition of dryness, and an itch, particularly if I haven't used the cream for more than about ten hours.

Another characteristic of this is that my sexual desire has been reduced to almost nothing. Although I am still quite capable of arousal, it hurts my skin to masturbate, even if I apply an extremely generous amount of lubricant.

I haven't had sex for about a month and half, and I'm using the same soap that I've been using without problems for about six months. The problem is restricted to the shaft and head of the penis, and does not affect the scrotum or surrounding area.
