"Proper" erection...

There's lots of talk involving the phrase "proper erection", but I need some clarification as to what this actually denotes.

When Standing up, I believe my erection to be fairly normal as far as direction is concerned, at around 2 O' clock when fully hard.

But when lying on my back, it doesn't point upwards (towards the ceiling), but sort of points towards my stomach. If I manually position it to point towards the ceiling, it just drops back down when I let go.

I think this is normal but need confirmation.

I would say you have a very "proper" erection. No problem.

When you are on your back, the weight of you penis overcomes the muscles holding your erection. Simply a matter of physics.
